What Does Superman Do Now?

When I was growing up, phone conversations were private and pay phones were in booths because we would stand for nothing less. Later the booths disappeared, and today the last of the pay phones themselves are being chiseled loose from their medieval fastnesses, while lawyers on the train loudly advise their clients by cell phone. The surveillance society comes from within.
