As soon as global warming sets in fully, nobody will believe in it. It will cause floods and droughts and other economic shocks, and one of the basic compensation mechanisms will kick in, labor mobility. With people moving around all the time, nobody will remember how the local climate used to be. And all the craziness will be blamed on the accelerating pace of change.
