13 July 2013 - slugs

As trilobites and ballistas pass away and gardens and black helicopters
arise, what lives on turn after turn? It moves slowly, it has no
protection but obscurity, it dries up under sunlight, it leaves behind
a trail of slime that is expensive to produce—if you had never seen a
slug or an intelligence agency, you wouldn’t guess that such a creature
could survive.
