22 August 2013 - Schedule 7

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

Schedule 7 is a secret organization of men in black. The cover story says it’s part of the U.K. Terrorism Act 2000, but how does that work? The cover is that the police can detain people in the airport without suspicion and compel them to answer questions, solely to find out if they are somehow supporting terrorism. Only men in black can detain people to intimidate journalists and steal their secrets.

clue:

They’ve stretched out of shape the already broad provisions of the Terrorism Act 2000. They’re claiming that carrying data from Snowden constitutes “instigating” terrorism, which the Act defines precisely: It requires danger of breaking stuff or hurting people. Unlikely to pass the High Court.

give me a clue so sweet and true
