Are you against bringing back extinct animals? Then bring back the passenger pigeon. The bird’s survival strategy was to flock in overwhelmingly vast numbers. The first time that a city gets painted end to end with passenger pigeon droppings, de-extinction will go extinct.

Later this century we may be able to clone from DNA recently extinct species that have close living relatives. George Church and others are working on it for the passenger pigeon.
