Theory: Why Lawyers Give So Much Bad Advice

A lawsuit is what remains when trust is gone. Lawyers do combat in a lonely alien hellscape where to reveal a fact risks weakness and to apologize is to admit fault. It’s the rest of us who have to worry about destroying trust.

It’s self-serving on the part of laywers: Once you’ve lost trust by following their advice on avoiding lawsuits, a lawsuit is more likely.
