An example of progress is the corporate piracy policy—sorry, I should have said privacy policy, that’s the official name. The policy allows a company to seize your data and, for example, guess that you are pregnant before you realize it yourself, then sell this guess to the winds. Privacy doesn’t come into it, of course, because the process is fully automated, and you are the only human being who will ever notice its results.
