Unwanted Commercial Email—maybe bureaucratese isn’t the most precise after all. My federal government spams me daily for two months during Obamacare signup time, reminding me in case I’ve forgotten since the day before, or trying to scare me with the “Final_deadline” only a month away. Well, it’s minor; many businesses are on my eternal hate list for spamming me after one transaction. Just another voice in the irritating and extremely large choir:

Spam is stupid.
Spam is mean.
But we send it
Cuz we’re dumb.

Repeat the lines forever in an idiotic voice.

Many government employees seem to believe that an e-mail subject is not allowed to contain a space character. It’s a testament to the level of training they receive. Or perhaps the job was contracted out to the lowest bidder—ditto.

Also, signing up doesn’t make the “reminders” stop. I guess it’s a different stovepipe.
