B. That’s crazy. Calculation is better when it’s possible,
intuition is the fallback.
Smart: Oh, but intuition is an implicit theory. To calculate
with it, make it explicit.
A. You can’t always do that.
Smart: Intuition is what you rely on when you don’t have time to
formalize your intuition.
