8 October 2018 - rational actor

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

Just a Small Simplifying Assumption

If I write down some axioms, does all mathematics unfold in your mind’s eye, so that you laugh at the shallowness of the Riemann hypothesis? If I teach you quantum mechanics, do you instantly understand all of physics, so that if you happen to glance over the ribosome and the sequence of your DNA you immediately understand how your own mind works? If you can do these things, your mind acts as a hypercomputer, which can complete an infinite number of computational steps in a finite time. You are the first candidate for a rational economic actor.
