Ubiquitous Influence of Human Nature

A language shift is under way. Fewer say “A is based on B”, more say “A is based off of B,” which logically should mean “A stands on a base other than B,” or briefly “A is not based on B.” That’s how language evolution works: Sense mutates into nonsense.
