What is it with Joe Biden and "ill-begotten gains"? That's bad
speechwriting. It's confusing to use such an old-fashioned
expression--people might mix it up with "ill-gotten gains". I suggest
"bastard gains".
clue:
These people make a show of being Christian, but don't seem to have
absorbed Biblical language. Has everybody switched to modern
translations, or do Sunday school teachers avoid explaining
"controversial" words?
give me a clue so sweet and true
