Posthuman, Posthumous, It’s About the Same

Wait a minute... is this supposed to be some kind of utopia, or what? If we do invent all the inventions and coordinate all the coordinations, will there still be room for people in such a post-war, post-scarcity, post-human outpost? Won’t it all be run smoothly by smooth machines too smart for art? Well, the cost of communication will still be greater than the cost of computation, so individuals will still exist. But as in most places today, they’ll carefully act as though they didn’t.

There is no such thing as post-scarcity. In the end, matter and energy are scarce... given the conversion ratio, matter especially.

Again, Albuquerque on Earth will be a fiction book on the same topic. I hope some of y’all will read the work in progress and let me know what you think:
