6 December 2016 - incompetent presidents

Let’s review the less capable recent U.S. presidents. Gerald Ford got away with it because he didn’t do anything, a strong strategy. Reagan got away with it because Paul Volcker fixed the economy. Dubya got away with it for one term because somebody else raised a ruckus. Now Trump, like Dubya, favors loyalty over ability in his appointments. History suggests a strong chance that he’ll get away with it because we don’t care.
