8 October 1999 - living will
< yesterday --
tomorrow >
A living will won’t end unwilling life.
When you can’t make decisions for yourself, it’s not a document that
will make them for you, it’s your doctor and relatives.
The legal theory is the same as for the insanity defense:
Possession of your faculties is nine-tenths of the law.
clue:
A living will specifies in advance whether you want your life sustained
in case of a terminal illness when you are no longer competent
to make decisions.
give me a clue so sweet and true
