5 November 1999 - contextualist art

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

This biz of transcending the limitations of your medium by embracing them, that’s stale. Even old-timers like Soup Can Andy could do that. In the authentic neo-post-avant-contextualist spirit, I believe that the instinctively overplayed absolutization of relativism as framed by the radical poststructuralist/hegemonic objectivist proto-dialectic is an excellent way to confuse the critics and scam a grant.

clue:

“Soup Can Andy” is Andy Warhol.
