8 January 2000 - No-Day Day

Today is No-Day Day, the day set aside to celebrate everything that doesn’t have its own day. Mothers, fathers, secretaries and presidents must wait; today we applaud toad flax, elliptically polarized light, and left-handed hunchback sidekicks.

But not for long. At the rate we’re going, they’ll all have their own days soon enough.
