advisor: Was it wise to call for the death penalty for Saddam? You’re saying he’ll get a show trial.
Bush: Considering what he did? Hmm, you’re right, he doesn’t deserve that much time on TV.
advisor: I mean, it’s not diplomatic.
Bush: I’m not a diplomat. I have professionals for that.
advisor: But your word carries a lot of diplomatic weight.
Bush: Surely it’s good to speak the truth? What could be more obvious?
advisor: Uh, nothing could be more obvious.
