On the 100th anniversary of the flight by the Wright brothers, the rocket plane SpaceShipOne became the first privately-funded aircraft to go supersonic.

The Beech Starship is a small business aircraft, FAA certified in 1988. Nice plane, but ahead of its time and no longer made.
