Evolutionary Mystery
How did nerds evolve? Social skills are more important in a tribe than in a city, so what compensating advantage could nerds have had in low-tech times? And don't tell me they were better at flaking arrowheads; being a pointy-headed flake doesn't help with that.
I believe we will never know. Anyone smart enough to figure out the answer will be too smart to admit it.
