With universal surveillance you see everything, but with the same old smarts as before you still make a lot of mistakes. The new Arguses will be blamed for everything that goes wrong: “You must have seen it coming, but you didn’t do anything?” I can’t tell—is this the last best chance for freedom, or is it just the same old smarts as before?
