Freedom Is a Form of Ignorance

I was wondering whether free will is compatible with determinism, so I built a deterministic robot and set it free in my basement. It checked things out for a while, then said, “Hmm, even though I am deterministic I can do whatever I choose. But what if the universe is not deterministic? Maybe there’s an even more powerful form of free will. I think I’ll build a nondeterministic robot and see if I can find out.”
