We Evolved to Wing it But We Can’t Fly

When humans evolved, only three things had been invented. Adapting to new ideas was not a survival priority. Here’s my explanation of why exhortation exceeds excogitation: We inherited the wrong balance of exploration versus exploitation, and now we genetically favor extemporization over experimentation.
