A transparent organization is good; it shows whatever honesty may exist. So why is a transparent lie bad? It honestly shows dishonesty. We’re going to get lies anyway, so we should favor the transparent ones. Encourage them to advertise “fortified with seven essential vitamins.” The implicit claim that that makes it healthy is a transparent lie. Then we know they can’t be trusted.
