Sensitivity training and other active counters to discrimination tend to reinforce stereotypes and increase unconscious discrimination. On the other hand, egalitarian policies decrease sensitivity and lead to a long-term increase in discrimination. It’s a built-in system and it doesn’t come with an off switch. Donald Trump has found the right solution: Engage in open warfare against all outgroups. That will lead to breakdowns of order and massive refugee flows, mixing the people so that we have to learn to get along.
