The Texts

I revise a lot. I make mistakes, and one of them is that I want to fix my mistakes.

The date I give each poem here is the date that the first version was finished in my eyes. By that point, it has already undergone most of the revisions it will see. It is structurally stable, and I will only change out the odd joist here and there as I find one with more harmonious grain. (The RSS feed is based on the publication date, which is different.)

But I don’t quit. A Water Drop, that I date as 1979, includes one word (“richer”) that I improved in 2007. I hope to find a better word and improve it again. Be aware that you walk through a breathing house.
