16 July 2016 - South China Sea 4

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

In the modern world, the wicked witch posts 3 Compelling Reasons To Surrender Dorothy and the others know it’s just clickbait but can’t think of any better plan than to throw cold water on it. China’s pushiness has softened since the country fought battles against Vietnam to take over reefs and islands in the 1970’s and 80’s, but leadership still has that authoritarian paranoia. Luckily, the young generation is more realistic, so rule-of-law proponents only have to hold the line in the South China Sea until the young take charge in 30 years or so.
