19 June 1999 - be like a puppet

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

Be like a puppet falling from the height
To a rocky site that’ll smash it into pieces,
Who sings, sings, thinking there are strings,
Sings, sings, thinking there are strings.

clue:

I’m parodying a little-known song:

Be like a bird, who halting in her flight
On a limb too slight feels it give way beneath her,
Yet sings, sings, knowing she has wings,
Yet sings, sings, knowing she has wings.

It’s good advice for many people. The hard part is knowing you have wings.

take oh take this clue away
